The GSA Leadership Summit

The GSA Leadership Summit is an opportunity for students, teachers, counselors, social workers, administrators, and community members to meet, network, and participate in workshops designed to help everyone better understand and advocate for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning (LGBTQ) students in central Pennsylvania and beyond.

Over 240 high school students, college students, and professional staff gathered at Dickinson College on February 25, 2011 for our 4th annual GSA Leadership Summit. Attendees heard a keynote address from theatrical performance activist Peterson Toscano on “Identity, Bullying, and Building a Better School,” and attended three workshops from a diverse selection aimed at building skills for improving school and campus climate for all students, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression. See Dickinson College’s review and check out photos on facebook.
